ticking noise and high pitched hum - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

help i have a ticking noise coming from the left side of the motor near the rear of it while idling dont believe its a lifter noise or internal also, have high pitched hum or buz with key on acc, car off, can hear inside car but louder outside, sounds louder underneath near middle of car, when you turn key off, noise will stop and you will hear a noise, like a relay shutting off, anybody else have these symptoms, and had them looked at? thanks for any assist

I had a ticking noise looked at by my dealer. The service guy explained that it was the coil packs discharging and he also mentioned the high pressure fuel system as part of the noise.

Right now my dealer is replacing a heater hose valve on my SS because of a weird noise coming from behind the glove box. They just received a bulletin on it this week. Maybe this could be the noise???

I have a similar noise coming from behind the glovebox, I'll have to get it checked out as well.

What type of noise was it?

I just ask because I have noitced kind of a crackling noise behind the glove box after start up if the radio is off.
