Really depends on the modifications currently on the vehicle and which modifications you would like to do in the future. Dyno Tuning is where this will matter. SCT & Diablosport offer handheld devices that allow you to do plug and play things and then later get dyno tuned. With our performance packages we tune the computer directly using EFI Live. If you have any questions, do not hesitate to give me a call at the office, 713-650-5322.

mods done to my car now: cai, and straight pipes from the cats back.

not sure about future mods, would like a turbo or supercharger, headers, heads cam, some of that, maybe all but doubtful...so not really sure

Sounds good... Would suggest the DiabloSport Predator based off the modifications you currently have. Of the 3 tuners listed above, this unit would give you the more user friendly application without having to get a dyno tune.

Buy a full tuning suite such as HPTuner's or EFI Live if you are a DIY kind of person. That will have you covered now and for every possible future modification. There is a learning curve, but starting with minimal mods makes things considerably easier.

Pretty much. There's plenty of really proficient people on the HP Tuners forum that can help guide you as well.

Buy an SCT X3 from Jannetty and get a free tune with it. Everyone here swears by Jannetty tunes.

I bought the SCT X3 from Jannetty and also bought the supercharger tune and am happy with it.

If I get a tune does it void my warranty...For example I want CAI and exhaust, and know I would need to unbolt these and make back stock before bringing it up to GM for any issues. However, with a tune, doesnt it show up on the ECU of the Camaro which could be seen by GM?

It has a lot to do with the relationship of you and your dealer. Some dealers want to keep the customers and will do warranty work. But, if GM has to get involved and can prove the tune was the cause of the issue, then your warranty is void.
