I am right there with you kris. Shedding weight improves all aspects of performance; accelerations, braking, and handling. It is not cost effective to go bonkers trying to remove weight but it definitely only helps to go after the low hanging fruit. Batteries have to be replaced anyways and if you can shed 25 pounds, why not? That is why I put the Braille in my car. If you are intentional about your part selection over time you can reduce a considerable amount of weight just doing what you were doing to begin with.

I bought the same battery about to install it.
Anyone DD with it? 5-6 days I just drive 8 miles a day. A mix of slow traffic and highway.

If you are going to dedicate to vehicle weight loss then yes, go for it IMHO. But this car is already so heavy to begin with, it's not worth getting a lightweight battery on its own. A weight loss of 20 lbs on a car that's already almost 4000 lbs is less of a difference than on a car that's 3300 lbs or 2800 lbs.
But if you are dedicated to trimming the car down and you can trim off ~200 lbs, you'll start to see a difference and the battery is one of the best places to begin. |

I bought the same battery just not branded Braille on Amazon for $110 shipped. The same company makes them all and then they get their "company logo" applied later.

How is it for daily driving? My battery is showing signs that I need to replace it and if I should go ahead and get the Braille, ac delco again or another brand. I don't want to have to put it on trickle charger once in a while like most people have said in reviews.

yes get the 17lbs; I think its way less than 347$ with the non-carbon unit, like 200$. I had one but it let go cause of the cold temp over here (3 years of abuse; discharge, charge, discharge). Need a batt stabilizer when close to 32F temp.
Still it was ok if a DD but my car is not, so after 2 weeks in the garage, batt would need a small charge.
