Question Kooks Full Exhaust + CAI = Less Drone

So, a couple weeks ago I had Kooks headers and exhaust installed. Sounded great, absolutely loved it, but had a bit of drone at cruising speed.

Yesterday, I installed a CAI brand cold air intake, and now... The cruising drone seems cut in half, maybe more. The exhaust still sounds great, and at WOT you can hear it just fine.. I still love the sound. I am just curious, usually a cold air intake means louder... But here, it actually cut down on drone.

Thoughts anyone? Is this common, or freaky?

Drone is usually in the cat back. Don't see how intake would make any difference

I have 2" kooks with their 3" exhaust. It drones like a mother f'er. Had to install a 12" resonator on each side just to keep the wife somewhat quiet. It's still bad just not terrible.

I know, it's got me checking my ears... But it's night and day difference, and it happened immediately following the CAI.

Maybe your intake is making more noise, hense you can't hear the drone as bad. A CAI has zero affect on the drone of the mufflers, or lack of.
