Rimbands Fitted (Eventually)

So... after a refusal by Kwikfit, an abortive attempt by a local tyre fitter and 2 attempts by the eventual fitter, the Rimbands are on and looking pretty good I reckon. If anyone else decides to fit them just make sure you watch the fixing video and DON'T let them use any tyre soap or lube.

Look'in Niiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiice :-)

I didn't expect them to have such a good amount of material for the tyre to grip onto, it's good! :-)
Far more sturdy than I imagined.
And a really nice neat final effect.

I want some!

I dunno... they look dirty and a bit tore up. Are you happy with the result?

They're not dirty (well no dirtier than the car 2 days after washing it - muddy country roads), there are no tears or scuffs and I think they look good - very happy and may just save an expensive wheel repair at some point.

BTW, picture 2 shows what happens if you use soap or lube - they pop out after a few miles !

Me too. Subtle, but still pop out nicely against the tyres.

My first thought was that all the lubricant from the first attempt was not totally decreased off?
From the Tyre, Alloys and Rimband?

It says to drive <40 mph for the first 24hrs?

Have you phoned them?
