Just keep shopping. Hubby found a 2011 2SS/RS loaded with only 500 mi on it & with at least a couple thousand $ worth of mods added & he paid about the same as I paid for my new 2010 1LT with a few options added (and I got a really good deal too). Granted it was a rare killer deal, but he just kept searching the internet until he found the deal he wanted.

The deals are out there. I wouldn't recommend and almost new low mileage convertible though. I have a pretty good idea as to why they are on the lots now...

Brand new 2012 2SS/RS.... Purchased 1/25 in Maryland for 33K... They even had a Black one on the lot for 32K that was the same model and package minus the midnight silver wheels. I say buy new put down a good down payment and let the good times roll.
Here is one for 35,340. Im sure you could walk out the door at 33K just as I did. http://www.cars.com/go/search/detail...aff=national#0

I for the first time in my life am looking at an automatic so my wife can use the Camaro too... I don't race, I do cruise and so that may be one of the things pushing the price up on the ones I have been looking at.
Comrando, you would think the ones I'm finding are low mileage... but actually a majority of the ones I'm finding even used in the low $30's in this area typically have 20-40k miles. The majority are getting ready to lose bumper to bumper. I guess I will keep checking occasionally, I'm sure this fall into winter will be a good time to deal also. |

Keep in mind just as on a new car Asking Price will not be the same as Selling Price. Check Kelly Blue Book and look at private party value. Then offer $1,000 under that. That is usually where I START negotiating. Most dealers will list one at or over full retail.

We bought our Camaro for about $26,000 for a used 2LT/RS with 9,900 miles on it. It took a little bit to talk them down, but a good deal for us.

Just bought my 2010 2ss for 27k with 3900 miles on it from a dealer... I think that's pretty good.
