Sorry, but guy didn't even get a day to enjoy his new mod before the V8 vs V6 Facebook smackdown started. Guess it just rubbed a raw nerve or something.

The 350 was a typo on the other thread, sorry!

The numbers are:

Stock:
250hp, 220tq

IPF / Vortech V6 Supercharger:
335hp, 300tq

rear wheel horsepower, DynoJet 224x Dyno, SAE numbers. I will post the dyno chart soon.

The stock 2012 V6 Camaro is rated at 323hp, 278tq at the engine, right? (So 22% loss on this car). That puts this car after the V6 Supercharger at about 430hp, 380tq at the engine. I believe there have been higher numbers posted for this IPF kit, too? The stock L99 SS Camaro is rated at 400hp, 410tq at the engine.

Thhe actual RWHP is most likely higher than the dynojet is showing. What we find with the FI V6 cars is most dynos create a resounance or harmonic that the knock sensors interpet as detonation and the ECU pulls timing. It does not do this on the street or the dragstrip and not all dynos. Missionboi's installer has a dyno that does not and his showed 400 rwhp, yet V6owners dyno showed 305-315 and he runs 12.90's so dont let anyone naysay your results. Get to the dragstrip and you should be in the low 13's to high 12's with the actual power gains any of these systems produce (both companies). There are also videos showing these beating V8 camaros and mustangs and challenger/chargers so the dyno is not going to give anywhere near an accurate # and the LFX will produce a bit more than the LLT with the same boost also. I think the land & sea is the only one that dosent cause the timing pull, but I may be wrong. I just know the dyno jets & mustangs cause this.

+1

We have seen this with multiple 2012+ V6 Camaros on the dyno

If you have some chassis ears put those on it. That will tell if you've got real knock. We saw the LFX reporting 4* KR no matter what, turns out it was false. Even when it pulled timing on the dyno up high there was no real knock.

Make sure I'm reading this right....sorry not trying to sound like a dummy lol. Your saying your car also pulled timing due to false knock detected, but in reality there was none and the car could have ran a bit stronger?

That's basically the issue with a lot of boosted LLT's.
