Double? I was corrected when I said 8. Probably up to around 30 now.

Ahh...now that I'm looking around I see a few.

Mods can delete if you want, I'm on my phone and navigating this is a little tough...no feelings will be hurt

who the heck turns off the ignition switch while driving by accidentally bumping it? I guess it can happen to someone really small but I still don't see how.

The recall for the Camaro is basically to replace your key. Instead of the flip out key they want to separate the key from the fob like chevy used to do. This recall is based off drivers "bumping the key inadvertently off the run position"

Totally. I mean, I think there's a .01% chance of that happening, but I'd be a happy camper if they did that.

I agree...I don't know how this happens unless you are bear hugging your steering wheel.

So what does this mean? How does a recall work?

The GM customer service people that visit this site need to come into this thread and take note.

EDIT -. Nevermind, they're here.

Bottom line is the are covering there butts. They dont need anymore legal issues. Im keeping my switchblade. If it goes in for service, they can have one back, but im not giving up the other.

I decided to check this out on my lunch break and sure enough bumping the key did shut it off. However, I had to go out of my way to lift my knees up and give it a pretty good bump for it to happen. I've driven my Camaro for four years and I cannot think of a time when I would have even been in the position for this to happen naturally.
