Eh - for me, if it's an improvement over the 4th Gen., I'll be happy with the interior. I know the rest of the car is leaps and bounds above but the interior just has to be in improvement for me to be happy. From all the pics' I've seen I'll be more than happy.
It was just an opinion, so I wouldn't be persuaded

Ok, if you like a big metal plate across your entire I/P then Camaro loses. Oh and if you think a NAV screen radio improves the appearance and quality then Camaro loses.
I haven't touched the interior on a Mustang. Unless they are using skin over foam or an uplevel material, I doubt it is better other than the metal trim and nav radio. Camaro isn't Cadillac, but it is as good or better than the Malibu (IMO) which was getting rave reviews. Maybe Ford has stepped it up, but I am thusfar not concerned for you guys. You'll be happy unless you really wanted a CTS Coupe.

Yeah knowing Ford the Stang interior looks nice at first but is cheap and won't last, but hey maybe they stepped up their game. |

Retro practicality!!! While the Mustang may have more chrome accents, for the sake of practicality, I much prefer the Camaro....Chrome/shiny surfaces lend themselves to GLARE. I once test drove a Jetta with auto and bright chrome shifter gate....looked great, until I was blinded by the sunglare coming off it....and on gauges, would be worse....Give me practical, glare-free interior....GIVE ME THE EYE-SAVING CAMARO

Gentlemen:
I sat in both at the SD autio show and there is absolutely no comparison. Camaro wins by a landslide. Mustang seating is thin and extremely uncomfortable> Camaro seating is thick, plush and wraps around the driver> Mustang went vintage on door panels - looks like old vinyl inserts> Camaro's inserts awesome(even the one that wasn"t production) and can be painted to match. The retro styling and cockpit feel of the Camaro is just damn awesome. There is much more room for the driver in the Camaro as well If you want Nav, go buy a Garmin> I had Nav in my C6 and vowed never to buy factory Nav again> Don:t be nervous, the interior is awesome - - much better than my C6 as stated to Scott after sitting in the Camaro at the auto show. |

I could care less what the Mustang has or doesn't have. I'm hooked on the new Cammy!

A. It's one opinion.
B. Take a breath. Did Scott not post very recently that a reason for the delay was because "they wanted to get everything "right" and ensure a very high quality? C. "Keep the Faith"! I'm sure the quality of the Camaro's interior will be at the very least as high in quality as the Mustang's. D. It's one opinion! And while I admit to being somewhat biased towards the Camaro, in all honesty, I think the interior of the Camaro reflects much more stlye than the interior of the Mustang. |

Honestly, of the Camaro, Challenger, and 2010 Mustang, I think the Mustang wins on the best combination of modern class with retro cues. Lotta features on the Mustang with aesthetics that are less kitchy than the Camaro's and less generic than the Challenger's. I'd still have the Camaro over either of them, but Ford did a very good job with the 2010 Mustang.

No worries about the Camaro interior. The car itself is already a "have to have car" . I wouldn't trade my 07 Mustang with all of it's cheap hard plastic for a butt ugly 2010 Mustang just for better interior. I wanted my car because it was a true throwback to the cool cars before I was old enough to drive. And hi I have got alot of great info on this site.

Well it's apples and oranges- Mustang is several thou cheaper but the GT has 125 fewer ponies. The powerful one (GT-500) is stupidly overpriced.
Maybe the Mustang interior is better looking, but I don't care. The inexpensive performance of the much better looking (on the outside) Camaro trumps the doggy and ordinary Mustang GT. But what I really DON'T like about the Camaro is the speedometer/tach guage cluster. That really does look like $h^! to me. It may be retro, but so is an AMC Gremlin- old is not necessarily better. But the Camaro seats in the pictures look great to me. You won't get Cadillac quality interior in a low end Chevy, and I don't expect it. |
