Another Bowtie Mod

Hey everyone, I just finished the bowtie blackout. I went with vinyl and it looks great! Now I have to decide if I want to paint the taillight bezels black....

Looks great....... and cheap $$$ too....I have mine sitting on top of my fridge waiting for the delivery of my Camaro. I figured Iwould try this first, and if it doesn't turn out, I can then paint them or buy the anodized aluminum ones.

Yea very cheap... got the black vinyl sheet free from a local sign store lol. It was pretty easy too, especially when using a hair dryer.

Question? I purchased some vinyl from an upholstery store, is this the same kind of vinyl you guys are using? Also what kind of tools do I need to blackout my bowties.

I used stick on vinyl from a hobby shop. Stuff that was meant for radio control airplane quick covering/patching (not the heat activated stuff). Cut a square large enough to cover the bow tie, stick it on and use an X-Acto knife to cut along the grooves of the bow tie outline. Very simple. Takes 10 minutes.
