camaro came in and they damaged it!!
I called my dealer and asked him where my camaro was this morning and he told me it was sitting on the lot. i went down to go take a look at it while the truck was still there. I got in with the mechanic to bring it into the garage and he backed into another car!!. Now theres 4-5 huge scrped in my diriver side corner of the rear bumper. That counts as an accedent and legally must be reported. They said they will bring it right in after being washed and paint it but what about the price? should i damand it for less? Make them order me a new one? i just wiated 3 months for this one. What should i do!!??

Take it as-is with a reduction in price? That looks like you don't know how to drive a new Camaro. You will have to get it repaired anyhow.
Make them paint it ASAP and have it to you in 2 days. That is realistic time to R&R a fascia and repaint.

The mechanic was the one driving, not the OP.

If this dealership has any credibility, they will make things right with you by offering to fix it immediately.

Calm down first! My car was 8 months in arriving. When the dealer called to say it was in, he announced that it had been damaged at the rail car drop yard. He already had the bumper replaced when we got there, they had just recieved another Camaro that they had bought from a defunct dealer, and they are painting the hood next week. In my case it did not have to be reported, nobody "owned" it yet. Everything can be fixed and brother, you will enjoy it too much to care.

I would be swinging for about $1000 off of your previous agreed price.

Just scrapes, let them fix it, it will look like nothing ever happened. No big deal, not enough to wait another 2-3 months. Stuff happens and they are going to make it right and make it look new again, no cost to you. You can ask for a discount and I hope you get it but they don't have to give you one. They can easily sell it if you don't want it, right?
Ask yourself, what if this happened after you had bought the car, say the day after, what are you going to do, sell it or not want it anymore? One of our members here is as happy as can be with her Camaro that survived a hailstorm. It sustained damage, got fixed, and she took delivery of it. |

If you don't buy it, they won't care. They'll just paint it and sell it somebody else. If you're willing to wait, order a new one. But that one may come in damaged or be damaged as well. I'd just let them paint it. You'll never know the difference. In fact had they painted it before you knew about it, you'd never know. Or have them order a new one, wait and by the time it comes in it will be so cold in Mass you won't be able to drive it until next spring. Or if you order a new one you could get rear ended on your way home from the dealership. Life is too short my friend. Let them fix it. Buy it and enjoy it.
Or you could pass away (God forbid) before it gets here...I'm just saying....
