Port of Wilmington-camaros spotted (no pictures) - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

Hey guys I just got a call from one of my friends that drove by the port of Wilmington (DE) today saying he saw a bunch of camaros lined up parked at the port. Unfortunately he was just driving by so he wasnt able to get a picture but said he definitely saw them. No idea where they are going or if they are production vehicles but thought anyone in the area my like to know so hopefully they can provide some pictures.

Got me wondering about this. I'm 30 minutes from there.I've seen where they've parked cars before.Maybe a roadtrip on Thursday morning is in store for me?

those camaro's are probably going to be shipped out to hawaii and guam to name just a few islands with dealerships.

I live in Wilmington so I called a my local dealer and they said they didn't know who got those cars either but apparently there have a few sightings on the road in the last few days. Their best guess was that they may have been brought in for GM brass at the local Boxwood plant but it was just a guess. They're still waiting for their first customer car.
On second thought, maybe they were for export since cars coming to Delaware would be trucked in not arrive by boat.

Possibly, but just over the border in Pa in Chichester there is a large auto yard just off PA 322 and visible from I95 that has trains delivering cars all the time there... you can see the rail cars from the highway.. Maybe that's how they got to the port which is about a 20 minute drive from there!

I was told there were Camaros at a railhead in Jessup, MD near 32. So the cars are definitely on their way. I am hoping for Tuesday! This post is worthless without photos =)
