It's all good...

As an engineer I do have high expectations... but I also realize there is a lot of product testing that goes into this stuff...

Here's the deal though... I can't expect the manufacturer of a part to test for every possible contingency... That would be very cost prohibitive... So, I have to buy something that should/may work, and then fabricate it in... Usually we can make it work, but not always...

In the case of this thread, I agree the gears should be set up upon arrival... I'm just glad the op has the vendor he does, which is also my vendor for my nine inch kit, since I know they will make this right... Yes, it's still a pain in the backside, but the op isn't left hanging in the wind like I was by another vendor... (not a diff kit vendor)

anyway, back to the topic at hand... Have a good one...

What diff is it... Is it the wave trac... If so, drive it in a mostly straight line for six to ten miles then try the tight turns... Mine did the same thing in both directions... Hadn't moved the fluid around and coated the parts with the short distance I had driven... Vendor said to drive it 6-10 miles and try the tight turns again... sure enough, no noise...

Haddad Motor Sports did the insatall and selected the diff. I just picked the gear ratio I wanted. I put about 300 miles on it already. He told me to bring it in for a fluid change and he is going to check it out. I hope everything is ok, I love this rear w/ 3.90 gears.

I received the replacement center section (gears) from Frank at The Driveshaft Shop on Monday and installed them today. WOW, What a difference it made.. Many thanks to Frank at The Driveshaft Shop for taking such good care of me and my issue with gear noise. Frank kept in contact with me throughout the whole process to make sure that my issues were taken care of..

I will definitely use The Driveshaft Shop again if the need arises !!

Thanks again Frank, It is always nice dealing with a Vendor that stands behind their product such as yourself !!

So my performance shop is ordering DSS's 9" conversion kit for my 2010SS, and they told me they were using Strange for the internals....should I ask them to use Spraker or some other company??
