Any V6 owners have the Hurst?

Folks,

I'd like to see a pic of the Hurst shifter in a V6 Camaro. There has been some discrepancies in the way that it is finished off when installed. If any one has a pic of either a factory/dealer/or self install, I'd appreciate it.

I don't have a pic of it, but it will retain the stock knob for the V6 applications and have the same stock appearance

Ah... no sexy ball and billet stick?

Thats a big part of the reason I was going to buy the hurst for my V6, actually...

No, if you run the shifter on the V6, you must re-use your stock knob as the shift pattern is different from the V8 to the V6

Can't you get a plain knob or the black anodized one that says Hurst so you wouldn't need to put on the factory one?

Yes, but it will cost more and is not included in the kit, right, subzero05?

Oh, I don't care about the shift pattern. I was going to get one of your black annodized replacement knobs (the ones that don't have a shift pattern on them anyway).

I'm mostly upset that we can't get the cool billet stick.

All I want is the stick and knob with HURST on it..... I'm fine with the throw on the stock shifter.... wonder if they make a 1/2 a kit...lol

Well, I want the ultra short throw but this just emphasizes what I was saying - the look is important too.

Why wouldn't you be able to use their billet stick with a plain or anodized ball, Xanthos?

I thought the kit was the same, V6 or V8.

Sounds to me like subzero (who works at hurst) was saying is that the V6 kit doesn't come with that option - only the option to reuse the stock knob.

if you order the black aluminum knob or some other hurst knob that has no pattern on it them YES you could use the chrome stick and knob..Just not the one with the pattern on it that comes with the shifter because the "R" location is different.

So the V6 kit will still come with the chrome stick included or will that be an extra cost thing?

Same here. I had thought I had read something about the stock knob and such. Makes no sense to me at all.
