Anyone able to answer this? In same situation?

The following is my situation...

I ordered my Camaro on August 22nd. The dealership I ordered from said GM has been notified with my order, but I am in allocation #7. The dealership puts 2 allocations through each month, unless things change.

My dealer said once mine is put in, it will take 6-8 weeks to be produced and delivered. Obviously, 2 allocations a month at 7 allocations would be an additional 3 months about. Looking as if I'm aiming at December/January.

I'm curious if anyone else was in this same situation though and received their car quicker? I can't give up hope, right...

personally I would find another dealer that has an open allocation, get on the phone and start calling, what could it hurt. even if you need to drive a long ways to get you car a LOT sooner, don't you think it would be worth it? I do.

no use sticking around for what seems like 3-4 more months...
i felt i was in the same position and i made a few calls and found 1 dealer with open allocation... around the same time my sales manager gave me news i should be hitting 2000 next week.. i kept my order with my original dealer.

I actually flew my daughter and myself to Indy when we got our replacement car. So the trip home was a quick 2500 miles back to Sacramento. First car picked up 5/8 --- totaled 6/4 replacement pulled into driveway 7/3. Plus I got on heck of a road trip with my child. Total cost of trip ~ $1500.00

Two allocations a month? Either that dealer is not moving many units or he is lying to you and using allocations to order for stock. My dealership averages 3-5 allocations a week now. For August we placed 14 orders that we had allocations for
