It's just you.. The Camaro is easily one of the best slalom performers in its class with only the 370z able to match...

Not that I wouldn't mind the feeling of being on the razor edge of control and just happening to slide through all the gates. That sort of action is pretty much the point of the Camaro anyway.

FYI the Mustang GT already has a "track pack" , a pedderized SS with aftermarket wheels and tires (track pack) will blow the GT's handling and braking #'s out of the water.

I'll say this though, when/if the Mustang gets its 400hp V8, this is gonna get REAL interesting...
I think what you are seeing is that the 13.0 @ 111 for the camaro is at the top of what they will get for it stock .. the 12.9 @ 112 is near the bottom of what they got for the Gt500 stock ...

12.9 is a slow 1/4 mile time for the GT500 stock for an 09 the average was around 12.5 and the best stock was under 12.3....and then you have to consider the upgrades on the 2010 model.

Both good cars though

Most mags were in the 12.6-13.0 second range for the GT500. The only person that got 12.3 was Evan Smith, but he is the same guy that ran 12.8 in a '98 Z28. I bet he'll run 12.6 or so in the SS if he gets to test it.

Regardless, the 'GT500 is about $48,000, so it's not an SS competitor for most people.

Well, good. I guess that means I and other GT500 owners won't have to worry about some Gen5 Camaro SS driver ever revving on me or trying to see how they compare.

People with cheaper cars always like going after more expensive cars. LOL. David vs Goliath.

True, but it's not always the cheaper cars. I've had more than my share of GTR's, Z06's and Viper's doing the same thing.
