Cheapest Car in the world goes on sale today

I found this on another site thought some might find it funny:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tata_Nano

1300 lb
33 hp @ 5500
35 lb ft @ 2500

47MPG Why so bad? I would expect more.

What a POS. Imagine having to rev it out to 5500 to get 33 hp out of it?

I'm going to have to say that these cars, while aspiring to be extremely achievable, are likely death traps. I'm terrified for its buyers.

Ok let's see it pass my collision test.

A 2009 Chevy 2500 HD with a full load of 80LB cement bags and 4 dummies in the cab at 40mph offset frontal.

It's still safer than most of the cars that are in India. My brother spent 3 months there. Said it was ridiculous.
