Anybody have 3rd gear grinding on their 17 ZL1?
Out of nowhere my 3rd gear starts grinding. Dealer has my car for over a month. No fix as of yet. Has anyone had this problem?

If your car has been out of service for over 30 days you might consider pursuing a lemon law against it depending on your state’s law.

nope.
if it was all the gears it would be slave cylinder / clutch plate, but for an issue with ony one single gear it could only be 2 things - a destroyed sycronizer or bent shift fork. hopefully they swap in another transmission for you under warranty and dont ask questions. A cause for it taking so long could be incompetence on your dealers part or GM is investigating whether or not you caused the damage.

I had this with my First gear. It was the syncros. Dealer had the car fro about 3 weeks due to scanning it and making sure I hadn't messed with her.

Appreciate the responses. Hopefully it's just that simple and I get her back this upcoming week. They've updated me saying they needed to order a few more parts.
