If you look hard in this photo you can see that we have cut the cowl to clear the Holley/COPO intake manifold.

Are you going to keep track of how much $$$$$ you have into the project? I'm curious as to what the price difference would be in starting with a BIW versus starting with a V-6 car that is complete. I know you'll save a lot of time from not having to strip the V-6 car of non-essentials, but I look at that shell and see how it has NOTHING, lol. No glass, wiring, dash, lights, brackets, nuts, bolts, etc, etc. That nickel and dime stuff is really going to add up!

What rims are you going to go with?

I am tracking my expenses, but I plan to just document the part numbers and details on here so that you guys can search for the best deals.

I have done that before and would much rather start with a BIW. It is almost impossible to sell a lot of the stock parts. You would be amazed at how much stuff I have given away to make space (or just hauled to the dump). If you can make friends with your local Chevrolet parts counter guy, the prices for new parts can be pretty reasonable. Ebay and sites like this can be great sources for nice used parts too.

My old LT1 Camaro started as a V6 car.

We have done the same with our build. We have a whole garage dedicated to storing parts. Good advice!!
