Yenko info needed
Hello, I am new to the site and from what I read I know that the members here can help me out. My husband just purchased a 69 Yenko reproduction, he has always loved this car, especially the original but $$$ to much. I need some insight on books, car manuals. parts & accessories, I would love to get some reading materials for my husband and myself (l love this car). Can anyone help
me out on what books to buy and where? Thank You, Dee I will be posting pics soon. Last edited by dveigel; 10-29-2007 at 05:37 PM. |

iv seen a original yenko at a local car show and the car is abosulty mint.
i dont really know to much about the yenko's i know there were made by don yenko and there was a limited amount of them. i know the only thing the yenko has thats different than the regular is badging a powerfull 427 big block, seat trim, and a nice stripe paint job, with the letters sYc located on the seats head rest, and on the hood. o and Mr. Yenko produced yenko camaros, aswell as novas, and chevelles

There are more Yenkos out there now than were originally produced. That said, I think even the clones look cool!

Welcome
Yep, checkout Amazon.com for some reading material, but if you're interested in some real vintage information checkout Team Camaro or The Super Car Registry

The one you like, other than the gold one, is actually "Fathom Green", a very dark metallic green. (That'd be my first choice) I have pics. of my friends, but not digital. I'm waiting for him to bring it out again so I can go take more pics.! It's also Fathom Green. |

I actually love ALL of those colors! My favorite is probably orange and gold, simply because they are different than other 1st gen Camaros I've seen. And I think if you're driving a Yenko you should DEFINITELY stand out!!! I bet the paint wouldn't have to make the car stand out though, I'm SURE it could do that all on it's own!!
