So what, your going to die one day. Not to want a 1st Gen because of that??

Yes, the 2010 is smoother and rides better and tighter. But Driving a 1st Gen is more fun, Raw power and you feel the road! Every crack!!!!

I love both, but if I had to get rid of my 67 or my 2010.... Easy. See ya 2010!

I say a 2010, but I've got a cool old car... I say 2010 because it's an awesome amount of power, better handling, more creature comforts, and above all, it's 100% good to go NOW. I feel bad, because my Corvette is getting neglected because I have the new Camaro. Why spend $5000 to feel like the suspension is safe enough to drive when I could spend $5000 to get more power and handling on a vehicle that is already a monster?
As for cooler, well, your A/C will work better in the 2010, but the 1969 will be a cooler car.

I've always wanted a 69 Camaro, but was fortunate enough to get a SS454 Chevelle 70 model. I enjoy going to shows with it, but I found myself spending more time under it that in it. Its bone stock down to the points ignition and cast iron exhaust manifolds. They are not a treat to keep running with todays gas

I get more pleasure in the hot AZ climate though going to shows and meets with the air going full blast and the tunes cranked in my 2010 Camaro.......Period. Its going to get me there and back safely

That's exactly how I feel! I love the old muscle cars but my new camaro I know I can hop in it and hit the road to go anywere I want and she make it there with no worries! Plus nice to have the comforts of air conditioning, power. Brakes, power windows/door locks and power steering those old cars were not only muscle cars but you had to have some muscle to stop them and make sharp slow turns!

I would argue the "better handling" part.. unless you're talking a bone stock example.

lol

True, if it was not for the 69, the 2010 would not look so good.

If it was not for the 67, there would be no 69.

That's a great looking 67. I always liked them better than the 69. I would take either one over a 2010. I like your idea of, but hey why not have both.

My Dad and I have been working on my first car, and were almost done.
It's a 1981 Camaro Z28, 350, 4 speed..jajaja.

IMO, go with the 69'. I'm just a lover for old classic cars. But if you get the 69', better take care of it, it's a antique. I'd much rather see a brand new 40-50k 2010 Camaro get demolished than an old peace of history and American Muscle. (referring to the 69')

Go with the 69!!!

I guess I am old....School.

I got my 67 in 83, it had 65k on it and in 18 months, I put on 36k!!! Yeah, and I did not have to drive to work and I missed many days of driving due to being out at Sea.

As for Steering - I have always had Power steering, and yes, the 1st Gen steering takes some time to learn. But once you do, it is easy to drive.
Ride - Yes, 1st Gen is a little rougher
mileage - nearly the same
A/C - I have 2-80 AC in my 67!! Two Windows down at 80 MPH!!
Power Windows? YES, My Arms are powerful crankin the windows!
Music? - Yes Dual Exhaust and loud Mufflers!
fear of a break down? No Way!!! I do not fear that, nor did I when I have driven it across country. Sure it can happen.
I have heard of brand new cars breaking down in the 1st week.

Don't get me wrong, I love my 2010!!! More then I expected.

But to drive a 1st Gen over 100MPH - Well, that is very exciting and fun and work! (to keep her straight!!!! :-)

really you cannot go wrong with either car.

(ok, done ramblin)

Get the 2010 if you wanna drive it every day. Get the 1969 if you want to drive it to car shows.

I have a slight bias. I am among the minority who far prefer the looks of the later Camaros.
