Well this is annoying.
As the title says this is just something that annoys me.
I have been wanting (needing) to get a Camaro SS since they came out. Finally the stars and planets align and I am able to get what I want. About 6 June I email a dealer close to live back in the states and ask about a 2014 Camaro. They reply fairly quickly but don't know anything about them, ask me what I am looking for, and they will get back to me when they know more. I never heard from them. So 5 days ago I email them and ask if they got any word on getting a 2014's. Not yet they say I know a forum that has price list and has people who have ordered them I say. I got the scoop, they should be going into full scale production soon they say (And I raise an eyebrow). What Trim and options would you like. I reply with all the goodness I want and ask for a price quote. So they will order it, but they want a down payment (completely understandable) but they haven't said how much the car will cost... in fact they haven't replied in 4 days. I somewhat understand the guy not knowing about the 2014's because they aren't released yet, but putting almost no effort in the deal is annoying. I've been thinking about it and it's not a big deal, just annoying. I can wait a couple of months. I just like the idea of having a new toy to play with as soon as I get off the plane, and then ordering a bunch of stuff that will void my warranty hehehe. |

Sounds like you need to go to a different dealer.

I agree... see how many 2013 he has on the lot.... that could answer your question as to why...
I printed the price list out and took it to my dealer.. I would never give them money to order u a car. Why ? They gonna order it anyway so why should u have to pay... makes no sense... I ordered ny 14 on may 18 without any money and using online order guide as referance....

I made a price spreadsheet that will tell you exactly how much it'll cost you if that's any help.

This. She is good at getting you what you want and not jerking you around like that dealsership seems to be. And I think that most people dont have the price for their '14s yet. Look at the posts on here about it and youll have a good idea of what you should pay

Well I think 2014v6 hit the nail on the head... I looked at their inventory and they have about 20 or so 2013 on the lot.
Also THANK YOU STIG! That's a cool spread sheet you have, very useful. In the end all is well, I can wait a couple of months. |
