1SS vs 2SS
Since most of these cars only come out wen the sun does. I personally do not like burning my ass off on hot leather seats. Cloth to me is way cooler on those hot days. So 1 point for the 1SS. The heads up display is pretty cool and all but lets be honest with ourselves. The 5th gens are hard to see out of at every angle. So that is just one more thing blocking what little view i have. And the D.I.C is right in front of you and easy enough to see. So thats 2 points for the 1SS. And last but not least. The center concil gauge cluster. Other than nastalgia. The cluster is usless. It makes you take your eyes way to far off the road. And who cares how much boost you are making just before you die! (Mike Fihnagen)).. Besides its nice to have somewere to set my wallet and phone.. 3 points for the 1SS. So is it really worth spending the exta money for a 2SS?? Share your thoughts....

For the luxury items, I think so. My wife's car is fully loaded with heated seats, steering wheel, leather, etc, etc and it is very nice in comfort. I've never had a problem with her seats being too hot. I drove a 2LT with the color HUD and it didn't really block my view. You can adjust the height so it's not in the way. As far as the 4 Pack it's nice but I could take it or leave it.

I ordered the 1SS convertible for all the same reasons. The only thing I wish I would have had is the HUD. I guess I'll have to look down a little to see how fast I'm going.

Just get what you like and works for you. If we all chose the same things it would be a very boring planet!

Place to put your phone & wallet? I suppose your pockets are out of the question? Unless you're charging your phone why does it need to be anywhere other than your pocket? These cars have Bluetooth std.
I'm a 1SS owner b/c I'm also no fan of leather. Head up is very cool and in no way blocks visibility. You can't be serious with this?

What about blue tooth for hands free calling and changing music? That's a big plus. Also leather, floor matts, I really like

+1 1SS I live in the desert in CA leather hot hot hot!! I just couldn't justify the extra cost for the gauge pack and HUD either, and if I ever want it, it is not hard to install the gauge pack.

2SS also includes the cool frameless rearview mirror, homelink, upgraded stereo, rear vision, park sensors, heated power seats.
Some of those options can be bought separately with a 1SS, but to me the whole package is well worth the price.
