PISSED!

So I took her into the dealer for the first oil change today, free, only reason I went to the dealer. Drove it home, about 5 miles, then the wife and I and our son went out for a few hours in her car. Got back home and decided to check under the hood. Still clean BUT THEY ONLY PUT 6 QUARTS OF OIL IN!!!

Talk about pissed off! I called them up and bitched them out. Told them I was putting two more quarts in and driving up there for my money back. Got there and they were all to kind and willing to do whatever I wanted. I said "Just give me $23.00 and you'll never see me again."

Service manager said on my way out "Look, we are very sorry and owe you big time. Bring it up here next time you want it detailed inside and out, on us!"

Maybe...

No friggen way anybody will ever detail my car but me or a proven professional. I would never trust anyone at a car dealership to touch my paint.

Car takes 7 1/2 quarts. I understand you were a little upset, but seems you went a bit overboard with this. I wouldn't let them detail it unless you are wanting to see some nice swirls in the paint....unless of course they actually know what they are doing.

If you decide to have them do anything again..for future notice always stay by your cars side. If you leave them with your car they'll detail it alright that you'll never go back again.

dealership detail is the following:

16 year old brings car to back, grabs pressure washer. Pressure washes car, time to soap, grabs wash mit off floor etc etc

Ive seen the washing they do, talk about swirls. jeez might as well wash your car with sand. Would come out looking polished compared to dealers job

To fill my SS properly, takes a bit over 8 qts. I recall seeing somewhere 8.2 qts, which seems to be in line with what I have been seeing.

I'd suggest putting in the 7-7.5 and then checking it and topping off as needed to make certain you aren't running it low.

I'm just going off from what the owner's manual says.
