That MT video looks believable, after all isn't there 100+hp difference and similar weight? And whats with all the roll racing anyway?

Because they don't want to get banned for talking about racing on the highway.

Far from a close race motortrend sucks. I had a 2010 GT500 i promise you the camaro will get stomped stock or with full bolt ons. Go drive a 2007-09 Shelby then drive a 10 big difference between the two.

ls car just pull harder then those ford motors. now the 5.0 is a diff story. look at the termi's they take alot more power to hang with a ls car.but gt500 is a great platform to start from. much better then the ss . from a drag track standpoint.

I have a 2010 GT500 and the main issue with it in a drag race is with stock tires it won't hook. You are 100% dead on the money with that. Even in stock configuration, it has plenty of power. If I were to want to drag race it, I would improve the first 100 feet from start. Once both cars are rolling, the 2010 SS and the 2010 GT500, I think the Shelby easily wins that race. And the Shelby is able to take a lot of modifications easily, but until you solve the launch issue, another 150 hp isn't going to help that much. I don't know a lot about the 2007-2009 Shelbys, but from what I have read, they drastically improved them in 2010. And the 2013 is very, very fast. I am not ragging the SS I happen to love Camaros. I just don't think a stock 2010 SS is as fast as a stock 2010 GT500.

Just now seeing this thread.

I beat him the second race after I made my passenger get out and rolled my windows up. Now that I have headers and a tune, I would walk away from him if we went at it again.

Terminators need a lot more power to hang with an LS? Some one is delusional.
