the red zl1 coupe is a fleet car - if you look carefully you'll see the snow tires on.

The Exposed CF Hood on the red coupe looks pretty dark without the sun shining on it. It is almost as dark as the matte black insert.

They are known as MVB units. (manufacturer validation build) -- we build some of these months before we actually start production - for a couple of reasons - we need to make sure that parts are correct and that our men and women who build Camaros are comfortable and know the exact procedures on how parts and components will be installed.......

That's what I was thinking at first, but you can see the light pole reflection in it. It looks rather shiny for being flat finish ... Either way I like the looks of it.

Required in Colorado too, not enforced by all the cops, just the one that pulled me over the first week when I had moved here. It's a $25 fine. Most people just pay it and leave their plate off. I put mine on cause I didn't want even more reasons for them to pull me over.

That is what I thought too, until I saw the reflection of the light pole on the smooth surface. You can see the light pole reflection come across the right side of the hood and then on to the insert. There would be no reflection on the standard matte surface insert. There is a second light pole reflection on the rear edge of the second vent also.

Thats not exposed carbon fiber...but neither is it flat black...interesting!
