The blue accent light strip that runs accross the top of the dash has quit working on my SS> The ones on the door do work. Has anyone else experienced this? Is so, what was the cause and the resolution?

Well I don't believe that's stock, so you'd have to figure out how it's wired in and make sure there's no blown fuses for it.

Yeah. The dash lighting isn't stock so could be anything and not many people will have had that problem since almost no one has dash lighting.

Did they ever work? Did you install lights at the top of the dash yourself, or did you buy your camaro from a previous owner who did it? Because like said above, from the factory, the lights were only on the doors.

My dealer scratched his head when I asked him why mine didn't work. They didn't know if there was or was not lights on the dash. Apparently they did not design the lighting to go around (I found that out here.).
However, some enterprising soul HAS done it so here are the directions I found:

As others have said, your 2SS only comes with ambient lighting on the doors.

Did you buy your car used? Did it have an ambient lighting strip across the dash when you first got it? You said in your post that it "quit working." If you had this lighting at first, then that was an after market modification made by someone else.

On the other hand, if you bought it new and you've never seen a strip of ambient light across the days, that is normal.

I'm guessing that he never saw it before and is assuming that it is faulty when in fact it's not supposed to be there.

I have a 2LT RS, and my passengers side ambient light is out, jus to verify the strip on top of the dash doesn't light up correct? Only the doors? I am going to the dealership to get a new one ordered, do i have to go where i purchased the vehicle so that my warranty will cover it?

The car from GM never had the light come threw the Dash, that was something some members on C5 found out how to do.
