Cool Why wouldn't I?

Can someone, everyone tell me why I wouldn't order a 2SS with the RS appearance package? Are there items that will be "useless" to me that don't make it worth it?

Imo a better question is what makes the RS package worth it? This question can be answered with one word, HID. The way the HID's are designed for the Camaro, they will easily run you $500-$600 per headlight in the aftermarket. This makes everything else in the RS package free.

No.

Thanx and still am wondering if waiting for the Z28 is the way to go since we don't know price and what it will consist of, or at least that I know of.

The Z28 is not on the radar right now. They may produce it later, they don't know. The market changes, it's time to launch the coupe and go from there.

Well how soon do you need the car? If you are in no hurry, I suppose you could wait for a Z28, which may or may not come any time soon . I say go for the V8(which is a high-performance monster, and a great deal!) and support GM right now. If you feel the need for more power, the LS3 has many aftermarket parts avaliable for it anyways.

I think the RS package goes well with the 2SS, since it is like a "loaded" Camaro essentially. The wheels (20"s) look great, and the HID's as stated above are well worth it, since they will improve your field of view at night and last longer. So, I basically cannot give you a reason to not get this trim level w/ RS package.

Hell, I have waited this long, I guess I can wait a little longer to find out. Can't get any worse until I start reading everyone threads about how much they are enjoying their new SS/RS.

The HIDs make the RS package worthwhile. The 2SS package is fully loaded, making it very worthwhile for the price. I don't think anyone will be able to complain about a 2SS RS.

Yeah that might be the way to go. I am definitely going for the V8 with the manual shift so now might be better than later. Don't need the car as of yet, except to be the first in town to own one.......

Well, do you care about the HID's and coloured ditch molding and the other things in the RS package? If not then it isn't going to be worth it. No point in simply buying a badge.

I think with or without the RS pack it looks great.

I had a TOUGH time deciding this because those reg.lights (non RS)
look great, but ended up with the RS pack

i'm buying a 1SS without the RS package. that's because i don't want leather or any of the fancy electronic doo-dads. that's what fits what i'll be doing with the car: driving it like a sports car & focusing on that driving. i don't use the phone much in the car and usually listen to FM radio kinda low. window tint will reduce the need for dimming mirrors. as for the RS, the SS already has a spoiler, i'm indifferent towards the MS wheels & i'm getting CGM, so a couple black strips on the roof ain't a big deal. i do like the HIDs & tail lenses, so i'll just wait til somebody wrecks one & grab the parts later.

this is how i made my decision on what trims & packages to get. just look at what you'll be doing in the car & how often you'll be in it. figure out what works for you & get it. that's when you'll be happiest with your order. if none of that helped, just ignore me & call it a day!

if you're implying that the 4-pack comes with the RS package, that would be incorrect. it's part of the 2SS trim (& 2LT, for that matter)
