one bolt cam torque value

I take it that the one bolt cam has a tty bolt in it,so it is right to torque it to 55lbs and a 50 degree turn.so how much is 50 degrees? little past 3:00 oclock?

3 o'clock would be 90 degrees. A full circle is 360 degrees. It would be more like 1:30

Just a helpful reminder, don't do what I just did. I had the cam gear installed correctly in the alignment hole....then when I almost had the bolt tight I switched to my torque wrench....in doing so I accidentally pushed the cam back enough to allow it to rotate and have the alignment pin come out. I tightened it and damaged the pin slightly...now I'm working with a machine shop to use an edm to remove the pin and install a new one....huge PITA

3 bolt would've been better. That single bolt is a bad design. I've used a dollar store protractor? I think that's the name of it. Measures angle and was in the school supplies section.

if I was to cam the car,i would go with the 3 bolt cam.I have a full nitrous kit with fuel cell and all.I like the way the car runs with full bolt ons.Thinking 150 shot, better then the 50-60 from a cam and tune.plus the torque is super on spray.lol just got done with a new cam chain, chain damper and melling high volume pump and of course cross member bolt in mod and oil pan gasket.thanks for the replys guy, love this forum!!

TTY bolts are one time use. Hope you used a new cam gear bolt!
