heads/cam ls1 gto vs 5.0 mustang gt
The best pass for the 5.0 mustang was 12.3 @ 115, best pass for gto is 11.9 @ 115. Mustang has stock 3.31 gears, drag radials, full exhaust, bama tune, boss 302 intake, jlt intake. GTO has cai, tb, fast intake manifold, full exhaust, cnc'd 243 heads, 240/240 cam iirc. 3.90 gears. Here the gto tries launching at 6k rpm instead of 4k but bottom out slicks on fenderwell and cuts 2.3 60 foot. The 5.0 cuts 2.0.... Mustang went 12.6 @ 115, gto went 12.7 @ 115 mph. |
