1LE off to JTM MOTORSPORTS in Long Island
well i just got home from dropping off my 14 1LE camaro at JTM motorsports in LI NY @ 430 pm they share the shop with ARH headers..my car has only 390 miles on and so John from JTM talked me in to transforming it in to a beast…Its getting ARH long tubes and x pipe and were keeping the NPP mufflers . It will also be getting a VENGEANCE RACING Kaotic cam with melling HV oil pump .BTR double valve springs with titanium retainers ..3 bolt cam gear and C5R timing chain along with a tune ..I am a bit nervous to be honest as the car was darn near perfect stock but oh well its on now .. i will keep you posted how it turns out or you can go to JTMMOTORSPORTS on Facebook and check it out as he baselines it then tears it down …I hope i did the right thing …LOL
IN all honesty beside me being a wussie ..this shop is top notch here on the ISLAND ..Also would like to say that dealing with Vengeance racing for parts was awesome too ..the were very kind to take time to give me advise and listen to my stupid questions and shipped everything out very quickly ... |

But do yourself and that car a huge favor Put the Dewitt's or Ron Davis radiator and the lingenfelter thermostat in it while they have it apart Last edited by Bens1le; 09-29-2014 at 08:06 PM. Reason: Added info |

Why? I did a Lingenfelter cam/heads upgrade and have had zero heat issues. Its not even been a consideration so I am wondering ...what do you know??? lol

JTM are good people. Even though I don't work for ARH anymore, I still keep in touch with Nick at ARH and John at JTM. I actually have used John in the past to work on my cars before he had JTM. I'm thinking about ordering a 1LE and doing a blower, cam and headers on it. I saw vengeance got to over 700 wheel with their kaotik cam, ECS blower and ARH headers.

Looks like you will be tearing up the Island soon with that set up . You don't need to go cooler on the T stat ,just have them set the fans to go on sooner at 175 when they do the tune. Also a Ron Davis rad is always good ,but you don't need one with that set up , in NY . The stock rad works fine here in Phoenix ,where it is really hot. I grew up in Jersey and we used to go out to Baldwin and street race on the Sunrise HW back in the 60's .

I don't follow. Given: Torque x RPM / 5252 = Power Your numbers don't add up. Mine: 424 x 5420 / 5252 = 437.56 HP with the HP dropping after 6300 rpm. Plus the LS3 isn't meant to rev past 6600 rpm, Chevy recommended: http://www.chevrolet.com/performance...l#installation Maybe with your new cam, springs and retainers you can rev higher? Can they explain the numbers? -CRT Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
