I would just be honest and tell the court you just bought the car and you were so excited you just didn't think to look down at the speedometer.

just say the engine has so much torque, you didn't realize that torque was going to easily pull the car to 100mph which is true and you were cruising in high gear.

I would get a lawyer and let the lawyer explain things.

I would want to see you with an attorney. I think the officer did you a favor for not giving you a ticket for 101MPH, he could have taken you to jail. Try and reduce the damage this ticket will do to your insurance premiums for the next 39 months. You are driving a SS this could hurt big time your premium payment.

It is pretty hard to see the speed with the steering wheel incorrectly adjusted. It is a brand new car!
