HEADER QUESTION?

Do long tube headers hang below the car? I had a set of Hooker Supercomps on another car, and upon approaching you could see them hanging down.

Also what are stepped headers?

Sorry for the dumb question but need to find out!
Thanks!!!!

They do a just a little but not much... It's not a problem on these cars. Mine is even lowered and they have never hit anything...

Stepped headers is where the tubing changes sizes... somewhere down the pipe a larger pipe is slipped over so it's larger at the collector.

Stepped headers increase in size, for example 1 3/4" to 1 7/8". This doesn't have anything to do with the clearance.

As far as clearance with our headers, we tuck them up as close to the body as we can. You will find that no one has issues with our headers unless they try driving over a boulder (in which case they have a lot of other things to worry about ).
