ARH or SW headers?

Sorry to beat a dead horse.... on the ARH site the gains are like 32 RWHP with no tune and 50 RWHP with a tune. Most of the other headers im researching gain about 25-35 with a tune. Now im looking into Stainless works headers due to some good reviews(mostly regarding fit and finish). Anyone have experience with these? What kind of gains should I expect with 1 7/8 headers, no cats and a tune? I have a LS3 with a CAI inc intake and only a muffler delete at the moment.

I have the 1 7/8" headers, C.A.I. Intake with HF cats and a tune. Nothing else. I made the power in my sig. Sorry, no baseline though...

The headers though, have colored in nicely, and sound great at WOT, though since I'm still running the stock catback, very tame at part throttle or under 3k RPMs....

Both American Racing Headers and Stainless Works make amazing products, I have a set of Stainless Work's headers on my personal car but would run either companies products without hesitation. If you have any specific questions or would like a quote feel free to contact us!

They both are pretty good and will perform similar IMO. I would say roll with the one you get the best deal on.

+1 I personally prefer Stainless Works but you can't make a bad decision in this case.

The long system from ARH would probably work the best for your set up but bottom line is they are both top notch, quality American made long tube headers.

I currently run the ARH 1 7/8" headers and catless long system into a flowmaster outlaw axleback. I had a definite noticeable gain with just the headers and long system. After tune there was another definite gain and after swapping stock mufflers for flowmaster outlaw series there was another small gain. My car has never been on a dyno, however by means of the butt dyno and practical application the car is a lot faster.

I got my ARH about a month ago, and put them on 2 weeks ago and I couldn't be happier! And Nick over at ARH is a fantastic guy to deal with! ARH IMO but as the others have said I'm sure you can't go wrong with either.

I had Halltech CAI, ARH 1-7/8" w/CATs and ARH axel back. No tune made 418rwhp SAE. Don't have tune #s since I added more to car before tuning. From Jannetty's LT tests, cat or no cats had little or no effects on HP #s.

Had MBRP cat back with ARH, but it was too loud for me and the wife. Too much drone, too. MBRP was a good sounding stand-alone cat back system, no LTs. If you like it loud, ARH LT w/MBRP 3" is a great combo.

Hard to go wrong with ARH, SW or Kooks. Those were my choices when I started. I went with ARH since I heard their complete system in-person and liked the sound. Customer support is #1 with ARH in my books. Always answers their phone and VERY GOOD follow-up.

Sting...You mentioned Kooks, I have heard alot of great things about them and have been keeping them in mind for sometime now. Anyone have good or bad things to say versus ARH or SW? thanks

I think all of the "major" players have good products and similar proven technologies used. Check out Tag's threads for his SW experience. I've seen the Kooks products firsthand, but ended up with ARH after personally hearing the complete system. Nothing bad to say about SW or Kooks.

My wife did get on my case when I had the ARH w/MBRP. Too loud for her and she hated riding in "my" car. It did drone a bit with the LTs so I sold the MBRP and got the ARH complete cat back system. No regrets.

I have owned both products and you cant go wrong. I personally choose SW due to price and quality. APEX had the best pricing.
