Do you have the afm valves? Maybe the stock muffler is just that good at removing drone. When I'm on the highway, my car is dead quiet in v4 mode with the afm valves closed and npp valves closed. no drone whatsoever. Even if I go into manual mode and put it in 8th gear so I stay in v8 mode, no drone. This is with Stainless Works headers, high flow cats, x-pipe(custom made without the 2.5" perforated cores that come standard) with afm valves, into stock npp muffler. I love it.

Still haven't seen any dyno numbers? I'm curious of gains off stock headers with catback system npp+afm valves.

You and me both. I don't just buy an exhaust system for the sound!

Stainless Works any chance you can make a H pipe option for the catback system?

Hi JonGSA,

Sorry we don't have any plans for an h-pipe currently. I'll forward your request to the R&D department. I'll keep you posted if anything changes.

Thanks SW for the reply. Maybe I can take it step further further and simplify it bit more. I should be getting my SW catback w/NPP CA16RVCB in a few days now. Its probably being built or shipped now even. lol

I know the design comes with an x-pipe, but would it be possible to make an optional H pipe to take the place of the X pipe? Any design/performance/sound concerns? Its been thought in my head lately about getting a more old school sound of the camaro if possible.

Thanks SW and keep me posted. If its something doable I'll be even willing to try it out.

Hi JonGSA,

We don't offer H-Pipes as an individual component. Your best bet would be to buy some tubing and then have a fabricator make an h-pipe. That would allow you to switch out the x-pipe if the h-pipe didn't work. We sell the tubing by the foot on our site.

Thanks,
Jason

Any chance they will be released as just a kit of headers and performance cats like the 5th gen system?
Have it on both my 5th gen SS and ZL1 and love the sound.
