Saleen S281 Vs. Camaro SS

What do you think the turnout on this would be?

s281 is a mid 12 car isn't it??? It's s/c.

I'd give the saleen the win

That car is rated at 485hp at the motor for the 2010 and only 3400lbs. It would probably perform in between a GT500 and the Camaro. If the driver can hook, I think the stock SS would loose. Remember, the Saleen is supercharged!!

I would have to give the edge to the S281 when comparing 2010 models.

Ran a Saleen s281 in my 02 and saw taillights on the big side
he was stock on dealer tags ...
my 35's rear tires and fearless clutch out launched him he caught up quick.
My 02 will outrun my 2010

My friend has a 07 or 08 S281 Saleen and I beat that thing on launch EVERY time and he had new tires.

He would catch up pretty good but I got the win everytime.
IDK if this helps

SAX it is a b4c and is one of those LS1's that has always been strong, catbacks and and a custom map is all that has been done to it.
It's what the old school guys would call a Wednesday motor

I have definitely seen some factory freak LS1 cars. I have great respect for the 4th gen f-bods.

LS1 FBodies are almost pretty much in line with the 2010 SS, maybe a tick or two behind but take a nice strong running LS1 and add a couple mods, maybe reduce the weight a tad and i can see how his FBody is noticeably faster than his 2010

Yes strong running stock LS1 Camaros/Trans Ams can run nearly the same times as 5th gens.

Thanks for all the replies.

Let's say, like a 2005-2009 Saleen against the SS.
