Went up to Charles City today for a show.
Met A LOT of nice people and seen A LOT of nice cars.  Domino was the only 5th Gen there and there were only handful of other F-Bodies there, but there were more than 140 cars. Saw a "Yellow Jacket" Challenger, '86 Monte Carlo SS, '69 Rally Sport, a white Buick Twin Turbo Coupe(Factory clone of the Grand National), and a host of other NICE cars.  Dan got Best 2 Seater for his 2011 Corvette. All other late models got shut out. Awards stopped at 1980.  The director, Bruce, said he plans on adding more for next year, including a late model award. VERY nice guy!!! Plan on going back next year. Maybe the ICE can invade as a group and take on the River City Cruisers(Local Club) for most show participants.  Had plenty of room to park, a nice breeze all day, BBQ, Hawaiian Ice, and LOTS of shade around. |

Hey all, just dropping in to give you all some Eye Candy for this evening....my new motor.
 The good news it that it is finally built, the bad news is that I was unable to drop it in this weekend. I had a few things that I over looked and a few things that I was unaware of. None the less, now that the motor is completed, I will have all the necessary things taken care of and will be able to finish it up.

Nitro...oh how I wish I could see mine like yours...cam, heads, bottom end - all built for boost...sigh.

Anyone know about the Breast Cancer Ride in Monticello on August 18th?
Are cars allowed? If so, it would be cool if we all showed up in pink ICE t-shirts. Hopefully the replacement t-shirts will be here this Friday or next Monday. |

Fairgrounds tonight
Is anyone planning on going to the next to last cruise night, at the fairgrounds tonight ??? I'm going to try to make it, if my interear infection doesn't act up again. I plan on parking under the trees on the East end of main street (like we did a couple of weeks ago). I will try to save a couple of places if possible.
