wtb interior trim (door+dash pieces) silver or red

I am looking for the 4 pieces of interior trim either silver or red. There should be 4 pieces. 1 on each door and one long piece on the dash and one short piece on the dash.

You can get the dash pieces from your dealer....bout 88 for the passenger side and 42 for the driver side. It comes painted graphite silver.

The doors on the other hand....woah! Talk bout tough to get ahold of. The ONLY 2 ways you can get your hands on those is if you buy the entire door pad...$330 a piece! Yes, you get the leather and all.

Or....you can find someone with a totaled Camaro that wants to part it out.

Either way, talk about tough...

Has anyone tried to remove the cloth from the door panels and trim and paint them?

I know I would like to take mine out and just have them recovered. I don't care for the shiny finish on the door pieces and dash but if I could remove them and have an upholsterer recover them in a color as close to Red Jewel, I'd be most happy!

Anyone have a quick link on the removal of these four pieces and is it that hard to do?

I took mine out and ripped off the cloth. There is a lot of glue left behind but it comes right off with a degreaser. I sanded them down and sent em to a vo tech to paint them IOM. hopefully there done soon.

I'm thinking my local Indy Auto Spa should be able to pull mine out including the dash pieces and recover them for me in half a days time. Recover should be relatively simple and if I have the material, they can pull the parts, remove the black cloth and then shoot with their glue gun and stretch the new material on and call it lovely!

Soon as the weather breaks I'll have to run it by them and see what they say, plus I need to locate the link on panel and dash piece removal so I can at least have it for them just in case or take it by them ahead of time to look over.

Pulled my dash trim pieces and ripped the covers off and used mineral spirits to remove the glue. I will be removing the door panels Sunday to do the same thing and try painting them the ralley yellow during the week. Stay tuned!

This is awesome. Did you really just pull the cloth off and have them repainted?
