Expired Warranty
Hard to blieve its been 3 years already and the warranty is gone! Glad that I didn't let it keep me from modding and enjoying all the extra power!!

Yeah...mine was technically gone pretty quick too but the dealer didn't give me a hard time about warranty work that didn't involve the engine, suspension or powertrain. For instance they replaced the USB module no questions asked and were willing to replace the dead battery (but I had to bring the car to the dealer...kinda hard to do if the battery won't charge). Overall...I drove the car for 3 thousand miles and couldn't find anyproblems with the motor/drivetrain so I went for the mods!!

I remember I had to get the ABL light replaced after it went out. Rally stripes got replaced as well as the driver's side door repainted. This was after my headers and tune also. Still, I have a good friend who is a service tech so i may get some benefits hehe.

Yep, my SS has been up for a while now ... I haven't done any mods that would mess with the drive train, so that's still good for another 1.5 years.

No it's 5 years OR 100,000 miles whichever comes first.

No the 3 year 36000 is your bumper to bumper, the drivetrain was 5 year 100,000 miles, GM has had that on all their cars since 2007.

I feel ya... My 3/36 will be up on April 5... I feel like the 3 years will come before the 36k, but it will be close, I just rolled over 30k two weeks ago. I need to get in there and have them fix the trunk opening solenoid before that happens as it's having problems opening the trunk.
I don't feel like I've added anything to void the 5yr/100k mile power train warranty so still good to go there. No headers, no cam, etc. |
