As everyone has stated...yea...it's going to go down. In my opinion...it's a bitter-sweet thing.

But as with the other generations, there will always be people (hopefully) who will restore, modify, and burn rubber in then for generations.

remember that the valve of a object is only what someone is willing to pay for it.

currenly my husbands 95 camaro is listed at about 3k on like KBB or so, but via the insurance its listed as 10k, because its custom.

I kinda disagree with some of you. I think with the new camaro coming out it has put a spotlight on all camaros right now. i dont see the new model affecting the 4th gens that much. Yea there will be some dumping their 4th gens right now and may seem to be flooded but some like me will take advantage of this oppertunity and swipe up a nice 4th gen. I drove from Ga. to Va. on fri to get my new whip. 2000 red on black SS, MN6, leather, T-tops(which the new camaro doesnt have and I really wanted) with a bunch of goodies(nothing over the top) and 21K miles. She is MINT. Already ordered a new set of door speakers(blew drivers side on the way back-too excited?) and some other things. Believe me, im as happy as someone that just bought a 2010 but cost me less than half.

Ah mine is stock except for flowmasters and I am not gonna give it away. IT has been babied. I will just keep it and someone else can buy my ordered ss. The reality is my new one will be here soon and my 98 is still not sold. If I cant sell it im not gonna be able to get the new one. I have been tryin to stay positive, but theres not much time left and I need the downpayment money.

4th Gen value's are down the crapper. The only 4th gens that are safe are WS6 and special edition cars.

Cant wait for M6 LS1 cars to get below 5k.

Tell me what cars value isnt in the crapper right now. Have you seen what you can get a low mileage C6 Z06 for right now? Its a great time to buy, glad I scooped mine up.

you almost have the break this conversation into a few groups
93-97 LT1s have no value, I couldn't see one going for more than 5K and I live in CA. LT1 have dropped the most due to the more popular LS1, higher mileage, and a PITA to work on.
98-00 LS1 can be had for under 10K but usually not as low as 6K unless it has really high mileage
01-02 have the more desirable engine, usually lower miles and are probably selling between 10-15K in CA. 15K being SSs and WS6 vehicles. I have a 02 Z28 and wouldn't sell mine for anything less than 10K, I would rather trade it in.

LS1s are definitely the best bang for the buck of almost any car out there. I can't see the new camaro affecting the price too much, the economy has done enough.

I really loved the third gen look and was going to buy one (Knight Rider look) The fourth gen design turned me off of the Camaro for years. The Pontiac Trans-Am still looked OK however still not as good as the 3rd gen's.. I don't understand how this body shape lasted for as long as it did without a re-design?

i agree. there was an article in the local paper this week about the 5th gens, and it had a small part on the "history" of the camaro, and even tho i drive a beat-up 3rd gen, ppl have already started saying, hey nice car! its awesome. sure the value will go down, but wait 15-30 yrs, itll be right back up, maybe even higher. thts just the way of things.

Kbb on mine says $9300. I have a m6 2001 Camaro SS with 48,000 miles & in mint condition. When I looked it up I was in awe. I at least thought I'll get 11,000 for it. I think I'll be keeping mine for now or forever.
