Where to buy and what kind of Car Cover
Hello all,
As you can see I am new to the forum and have just bought a new 2011 Camaro. I am looking for some help of where to buy a car cover for my new car and what type. I plan to keep the car in a garage and store it indoors during the winter months. What type would you buy for this use and where from? Thanks for the help in advance........ |

Junkman talks about covers:
http://adamsforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=5881 Also, best not to put a cover on anything except a clean car. A search will give you some more threads on this subject. |

I got mine from https://www.bigskycarcovers.com/ and LOVE it, but it's for my 2001 Z28 so I don't know if they are making 5th gen covers yet. Maybe you could call them to see if one is in the works. I think the one I have is the Form-Fit Indoor Cover and I call it her little black dress since it is super soft and fits very snug.

Another thing that everyone should get from that write up is that the best car cover IS NOT necessarily the best car cover for you. Where you live is a big determining factor in choosing a cover, as well as what your car is exposed to.

What ever don't buy a factory cover. Scratches the H3ll out of the paint. Expensive too! California Car Covers are the best.

I am also not crazy about the way they present the cover to you for sale. Instead of asking you how the cover will be used and in what environment, they make you choose all the details of your cover. This is fine if you are in the car cover business and know all the details about the materials and their purposes but for most folk, they don't have a clue. Here's the type of chart you need to be looking at in order to properly choose a cover. This is way more helpful and will steer you to the cover you need based on the protection you desire. That will make your decision more informed and suited toward your needs. Lastly, you want a cover that is made in the USA. There is a difference in quality and durability.
