Camaro 2SS vs. Cadillac CTS Coupe Premium
Even though this match up doesn't make sense, let me explain.
I am interested in buying one of the two vehicles. But just as a daily driver. I know the SS will smoke the CTS coupe off the line. But here is my question. I am looking for a daily driver. And I am looking for the most comfort. Best sound system, handling. See where this is going? And I've narrowed that down to these 2 cars. I've test driven both. The Camaro wins in only one area, power. The CTS wins at everything else. But I've always wanted a Camaro... Is there an unbiased person in here that may shed some light on something I'm not seeing? I'm a bachelor, no kids, nothing. Last edited by mrjenkins44; 07-15-2014 at 08:41 PM. |

You can find them used for a little more than a new 2SS

To explain more: I had a fully loaded built turbo ss (great car but stocck BA sounds suck). Bought a c6 grand sport while the camaro was always in the shop and sc it with other upgrades, (great sports car but not good for the back, stock sound sucks). Just bought a ctsv coupe last month, not as fast as the vette(yet) but great comfort and the stock sound system is awesome. Stock form i would take ctsv> vette> camaro. Go drive a used ctsv and ls3 vette before you make your decision, both used can be had for near a new camaro price.

Picking something for a DD, I would have to go with the Caddy, i would want all those techy gadgets and creature comforts in my DD.

Depends on what you want to do with it. Stereo system can be fixed with After Market stuff. I just bought the base stock system and put all after market stuff in My Camaro and it sounds great. As said above these cars are apples and Oranges. The Caddy will have a better ride while the Camaro will have more power. Best way to know is to drive them both and see which one you like better. Used CTS-v would be sweet. Those are crazy quick!!!

Im comparing the SS to the ctsv here, the camaro has a softer nicer ride then the caddy. Fit and finish in the caddy is a lot nicer. fit and finish in vette is about the same as the camaro. I also replaced the stock BA system in the camaro for 6.5 mb quartz and 2 12" infinity subs, great sounds.

I'm not a fan of the Cadillac - they just seem like they belong with older folks. Take the SS and stay young!

I never understand threads like this. Don't you know what YOU want, asking a question like this gets you nowhere, keep thinking about what you want in a car.
