My apology if this is mentioned elsewhere in the thread but even though I've been following it I'm on my phone usually and reading it all is not easy since it's so long. Have you looked at semasan.com for their advice on the next steps? Our political advocates in being able to modify our cars is SEMA. This is the old rule of follow the money. They've got the most to lose financially if people hear of things like this happening. You can cite the materials SEMA points to and contact your AG, the FTC and others. One well written letter explaining the situation could probably be used to send to several places and maybe, just maybe you'd get some traction on this. It's at least as good as the petition if not better.
