which is better 20's or 22's
Im not a big fan of 22's but I have seen a few cars that have the perfect stance on them,is the ride ,handling better/worse or is it really just for looks ? Ill probably never race my car(other than the daily idiots on the highway) so when I do buy wheels/tires it will be purely for looks so I need all of your input

If all you are worried about is looks, then 22's are fine. Typically, the larger diameter the wheels are the rougher the ride is, the heavier the wheels are, and the less performance they provide. But I'll admit, some of them look really nice!!!

Rickyrocket it should really be what you like . I chose 22 because Imo 20 is too small for our huge wheel wells, however 20 are good if your into track racing etc. you can see mine in my garage section to see 22s with 1.7 & 1.8 drop . There is a small performance loss because of the weight but imo looks are important to me.

I'm in the same boat, can't for the life of me decide 22's usually look sick, and then sometimes I see them and they look too big. I started the "lets see your 20's" thread to see more of them. Sadly there are few cars up her for me to see in person so pics is all I have to go by and I know that is not a fully accurate way to assess the look.
Anyway, I am after looks and don't mind a little perfomance loss. At the same time I don't want to lose too much performance either. I am not digging the idea of poorer braking or warped rotors either. A friend of mine years ago got bigger wheels on a little Honda. He honestly told me he was gona return them because it made the handling so bad. Doubt it'll be that extreme on the camamro but it will affect it. You should read the "anyone regret getting 22's" thread I started too. Seems to me that with the right drop and offsets 20's can look pretty sweet, without the loss of performance. I'm still on the fence though... 20's, both of them. |

I have had both. Get the 20s if you still want some performance out of them.

The OP didn't offer 21's as a choice. Shame since some of the GM Accessories wheels look great. My preference is 20's regardless.

i always hated 20's or bigger. until i saw them on the camaro. the body actually seems to be designed to fit 22's really well. at least most of them. there are always the wheels that just dont fit. for most wheels i would go 20's, but a select few like the yellow camaro above i would go 22's all day long. the slim design of the spokes are a instant deciding factor for me.
