BTW there's a few cars staying at the Super 8 on Sumas Way 5 minutes from the border crossing and the starting rally point for the coastal group of cars.

I got the last special unadvertised rate of $267.38 for two nights . They said it will be going up after that , maybe another $50.00 or so ? . Let me know if any more rooms open up at the Hillcrest , because I can change hotels .

For inquiring minds here is the Dogwood and Emerald State travel itinerary 2015:

The whole deal will start Saturday August 15th in the parking of the Super 8 Hotel at 6:45am for a 7:00 am departure to Timmie Ho's on Vedder RD in Chilliwack. The Super 8 is on Sumas Way just north of HWY #1 at the Sumas exit.

Arrive at Timmie Ho's on Vedder RD at 7:30 to meet up with the Chilliwack group for a 8:00 am departure. There will be a 30 minute stop, time for a coffee and donut.

8:00 am departure to the Greyhound bus depot in Merritt on HWY 5A adjacent to the Husky gas station. There will be a short stop at the rest station close to the summit of the Coke HWY 5 for our usaul potty break and photo op. Arriving Merritt aproximately 10:00 am. (If any cars choose to join at Merritt please let us know)

10:15 departure along HWY 97A for a 11:15 arrivial at the Costco Kamloops. You will have time to gas up (If your a member) and a hot dog at Costco. Kamloops will be a major rally point there be several cars waiting for our arrivial.

High Noon departure from Kamloops along HWY 1 for a 1:30 arrival in Salmon Arm at the Walmart parking lot to meet up with a few more cars. Short potty break and try to get rolling again before 2:00.

Now were in the home stretch for a 3:30 arrivial at the Last Spike Monument. The Wild Rose group should be there waiting for our arrivial if all goes well with HWY 1. Let the party begin. We should be able to spend 30 to 45 minutes for a Meet n Greet and photo op's. Depart on mass the best we can at 4:45 for the Hillcrest Hotel.

A few things to keep in mind:

1. I'm asking everybodies co-operation to be on time and keep our stops short and to the point.

2. Both groups need to be gassed up when we arrive at the Hillcrest for the Sunday Cruise. Meltdown will look after the Wild Rose group and we will have to figure a spot for us to gas up. If I remember correctly there is a stretch of 4 lane devided HWY between Salmon Arm and The Last Spike with a gas station on our side of the road. You will need a fuel range of 320KM to go all the way to the Mica Dam and back to the Hillcrest if we go all the way to the Mica Dam.

3. Although the Hillcrest can provide a bag lunch for the cruise, you might want to bring a cooler full of goodies to eat on the cruise.

4. I will be talking with Brenda to work a smooth way to get everybody checked in, cause it's looking like we will arrive on mass. Check in proceedure to be announced.

5. Meltdown and I don't like hearding cat's ,so pay attention and work with us.

6. This will be a very large convoy of cars, so let's pay attention and be safe and curtious. If you have questions please ask. Bring your radio's if you have one.

7. Lastly thanks for a great turn in 2014, this event just seems to get larger every year and were thrilled to have our neighbors from the south join in this year again. Thanks from Meltdown and Merc have a great and safe weekend.

Looking like 40+ cars this year. Look's like there is options for PGBumblebee other the the Hillcrest. It highly un-likely that any rooms will open up at the Hillcrest.
