This is happening to us too. Water should not be INSIDE the car floorboard. jt take a pic or go look and see how flush your door is to the car. Does the door stick out just a little bit farther than the car? I am wondering if this is causing the water to get in.

If u have water under the driver side front and rear floor boards, your a/c drain grommet that sits atop the tranny is crimped. There has been a tsb on it for some time. Take it to the dealer....it is a 30 minute job.

If water is making it inside the car door area during a car wash, your door or doors need to be realigned.

Actually it turned out to be the door seal inside the door. It keeps water from getting all over your electronics in the door and inside the car. If there is any little spot where the seal doesn't hold it will allow water in to your car. Unfortunately this was due to a poor repair job by the Chevy dealer.

I just found my leak. Rear Passenger side. We had a lot of rain in NY recently and I just dumped out about a cup and a half of water. Car has less than 500 miles and no longer has that 'new car' smell. It smells...bad. Anyone get warranty work done on this? I'm going to need a new carpet.

Yeah, you'll want to get that wet carpet out of there asap... The mildew small is hard to get rid of.

Trust me, I know. My hands still smell from soaking up the water. I had an 87 IROC-Z with t-tops and it also had that distinctive smell courtesy of the t-tops. At least with that car I KNEW where the water was coming from.

I own a auto glass company and unfortunetly weve had to do this once before for a customer cause the windshield leaked. Make sure all that carpet is pulled along with the padding and the car is dried out completly then the floor is cleaned with some type of chemical to kill the mold. I would then try and get new carpet and pad. If that carpet and pad are not pulled you will have mold growing in a couple of weeks and could make you sick. Make sure to hammer that mold and sick part when telling them you want new carpet and pad.

Thanks! I have two small kids that actually fit in the back seat (when I let them in the car) and I'm worried about mold. Been airing the car out for the past two days and got around to moving my front passenger floor mat. That's wet under there too. Didn't think to move the mat because there was so much water in the back floor board I didn't think the water could flow from the front seat. Silly me! Off to the dealer tomorrow. I'm thinking it might be an A/C issue now, but it really hasn't been warm enough here in NY to run with A/C so I just don't know. ARRGGHH!!

I hope your dealer does not screw up you car like they did mine for the same thing. The pulled the carpet, dried the car, shampooed the carpet. Put it back together.

In the process the nicked the dash. Gouged and scratched all the front seat area and back seat area rocker panel plastic, cut the passenger seat leather, dented the drivers side door seal panel and mangled the Chevrolet logo. gouged center console.

Well, turns out they had to order a new carpet for me. They tried to deoderize it against my wishes and it didn't work. Probably will get the car back Wednesday or Thursday. They told me they sealed the leak but I don't know yet where it came from. Will let you know once I know. Hopefully they didn't screw anything up.

OK. Just got my beast back. Turns out it was leaking from the front A pillar on the passenger side where the windshield meets the cowl. Apparently there's a bulletin out #PI0036THAT according to the dealer. Got that 'new car' smell back. It's still a little musty but I'll air it out and see what happens. Dealer did a great job. No scratches in or on the car. They even detailed it for me. Very Happy!
