SS(LS3/L99 or ZL1) vs 14 Jeep G Cherokee SRT
Curious, I've ran into these SRT's and wonder which would have the upper hand in a drag? And why is one or the other faster?
Thoughts?

Stock, all 3 of those Camaros should win with a good driver. I believe those jeeps are mid 13s in the 1/4mile. However it can easily go the other way. They are very nice cars though I would love to own one.

Are we talking on the street or at the track? I came from a 2008 SRT Jeep with intake, catback, and tune and it was a monster to 60mph. I now have a ZL1 and I have a lot of traction issues. On a track the Jeep would probably 60ft better if your camaro is on street tires but you should outrun it in the quarter. I would not plan on beating one in a street race stop light to stop light. The Jeep is point and go so they are hard to beat in short runs... I loved my Jeep but the ZL1 puts a bigger smile on my face when I drive it.

We have both. Stock an L99 will have issues. Well driven LS3 will win. ZL1 will below the doors off. The Jeep is an awesome all around vehicle!

My l99 fell behind by a car from a dig....I started to reel him in once I had traction.......so the l99 does just fine.

The 14 SRT8's with the 8 speed trannys are running 4.2-4.4 0-60 and 12.9-13.1 in the quarter depending on the test.
Being AWD, they have a brutal launch and are very, very consistent. L99 may have problems, a good LS3 driver with a perfect launch should take one in the quarter. ZL1 laughs at the challenge. |

My friend has a black 2014 JGC SRT, from a roll my L99 has no problem. But from a dig it's a game of catch up and then eventually passing.
