Since the topic of the day seems to be the Z28, or rumors thereof, I thought this would be an interesting question.

The Z/28 should at bare minimum accelerate and brake on par with the CTS V. With that, I submit the following: CTS V COUPE vs GT500

Hell yeah, honestly I don't care if a mustang outperforms it since for me it's more the style and sexyness of the Camaro (especially the Z28 if it's rendered close to reality). I personally don't like mustangs because they always seemed girly and too feminine for me, to each his own though. As long as the person likes their car I give respect, just look at what I drive.

why would they be benchmarking a gt500 against it if there intentions wasn't to out perform?

i'd rather buy an SS then for a lot cheaper and if the z/28 and SS are both slower why not get the cheaper one.

ABSOLUTELY!

A.) It's a Camaro...that's all I need to know.

B.) There's ALWAYS someone faster than you, so regardless of whether its a Z28, or a Shelby, someone is out there, faster than you.
C.) I'm a dyed in the wool Camaro fanatic. Driving a Ford/Mustang is out of the question.
D.) I prefer the looks of the Camaro. The Shelby is too "boy racer" for my tastes.

I don't really care what car it does or doesn't beat. I'm buying one. There's always going to be a faster car no matter what car you have or what you do to your car. So why let that influence your decision to buy.
