headers and muffler delete regrets?
i have a 2010 ss and i have a muffler delete currently, im wanting a little more sound out the car. so i am looking at throwings some tsp headers with no cats. im just worried itll be too loud. my 98z28 is so bad you cant talk to the person next to you and i really dont want this car to be like that. so im just wondering if anyone regrets doing that with their car or how loud it actually is, its just way too hard to tell from watching youtube. also would i be better off going with a cat back kit and headers to keep it not as loud. (i know i could keep the cats, but i dont want to). my biggest concern is really just how loud it is in the cab, dont care about how loud it is outside.

i took my mufflers off with kooks headers and no cats....and let me tell you, while it sounds awesome....its INSANELY loud and youll hate it on your second drive. get the headers and keep your cats. OR delete the cats and put in at least some cherry bombs or something to absorb the viciousness of it lol...

To me, LTs with no cats going back to no mufflers isn't actually that loud unless you're at WOT. Open headers is a different story. I'm currently running LTs with no cats or mufflers and it's not insane. Anytime I pull in somewhere I get complemented on the sound. When I was running open headers, a light tap on the gas pedal would set car alarms off.

I have headers, cat delete and a 3 inch cat back. It's loud but not too loud. Occasionally I have to ask my 5 year old to repeat himself from the back seat but that's about the only issue I've had

I really like the LT/HF cat combo with NPP on my 1LE. Previously I have shorty headers with no cats and before that the shorty headers with HF cats.
My preference is the current set-up though. We all have different levels of "like" or what's acceptable though . Good luck!

I have TSP with muffler delete and cats. With the windows up it is fine, but with the windows down and WOT, it has a pinging sound that I cannot stand. I don't think it is too loud, just the ping that drives me crazy.
