Fuse pull

I have a 2014 automatic Camaro LS V6.

I have watched several YouTube videos of guys pulling the number 5 and 20 fuses and leave them out overnight and reinstall in the morning to get more HP.

Do you guys recommend this and would it work on my car? I really appreciate your help!!! Thanks!

I think it only works for the 6.2 liter V8s. They are designed to run best on 93 octane. If 89 or lower was used the computer would compensate for the lower octane making the car not perform as it was designed to. The fuse pull would set everything right after 93 was put back in the tank.

Correct me if I am wrong (sometimes that always happens!) but I'm pretty sure the 5/20 fuse pull was a fix only intended for '10 and '11 L99 cars. Seems like some owners are doing it on all types and years of the V8 cars and a few of them on a regular basis. Guess it doesn't hurt but I'm pretty sure GM fixed this glitch in '12.

From everyone I know that has done this and reported results on my channel, the V6 guys with autos are getting the most bang out of it. There are many questions they have about doing it but the one I get the most is about , will it void my warranty. And the answer is no. it does the same exact thing as pulling the battery out and leaving it out overnight.

I did it on my 2012 and could tell a difference. The response was more crisp when on the gas...….

Sorry man, no extra power for you. Coulda had a V8! Sorry, couldn't resist. The 5/20 fuse pull was to reset to the high octane tables on SS cars. V6 cars are designed for regular gas and not premium so you aren't subject to that problem.

I did this on my 2010 LT1 I put 91 ran that then filled it again. I didn’t think the fuse pull would do anything but it did. I was surprised. Just try it, it will not hurt your motor or warranty.
